Just one block to the east of the League was this famous old artists' studio building, where I was able to lease the second floor of a duplex apartment occupied by the film and Broadway actor Jose Ferrer. When Elizabeth and I were married, we dared to take one of the fabulous duplex apartments (11B-12B). The double-height studio was perfect for classes and demonstrations. J.H.S
